He was a member of the Physical Sciences team from 2001 to 2003 and served as National Coordinator for Chemistry with SLSS from 2004 to 2009, and as National Coordinator for Chemistry with PDST until 2020. Together with a small team he led the delivery of all DES Chemistry in-services throughout the length and breadth of the country.
He also has over twenty years’ experience as an examiner for the State Examinations Commission. Awarded the Science Educator of the year 2018 for his services to Science education in Ireland throughout his long career.
